On November 19, 2025, the Humanitarian Action Initiative and the GW Milken School of Public Health co-hosted a seminar on how climate change is intensifying health crises in humanitarian emergencies. Panelists Ramin Asgary, Bernard McCaul, Colleen Gallagher Thomas, and Dennis King examined the impacts of rising temperatures, drought, and flooding on displaced populations across Cox’s Bazar, the Horn of Africa, and the Sahel.
